The project

STRONGHOLD TRAILS

Stronghold Center, Inc. is a registered 501 (c)(3) that owns and operates the Stronghold Camp & Retreat Center in Oregon, IL. We are offering 350 acres to develop a mountain bike trail system that will bring bikers to the area and allow others to enjoy our wonderful property as much as we do! The new trail system will be augmented by other property amenities such as on-site camping, cabin rentals, shower/bath house, ropes course/zip-lines, castle tours, hiking and much more! Stronghold will be a perfect destination location to anchor and enjoy not only the property itself but all of the other activities offered throughout the town of Oregon and the surrounding area. There is also an existing road bike community here that has an extensive map that connects many of the regional towns and is accessible right from the Stronghold entrance! The area offers many other outdoor activities due to its location along the Rock River. Mountain biking brings people together and is an excellent means to get

exercise and to enjoy the outdoors. The trail system will not only be open to the public but will also be incorporated into our existing summer camps and youth programs. There will be a designated area used to introduce kids to mountain biking during their stay. We will also be able to schedule clinics for the general public who would like to be introduced to this exciting sport. The system will be diverse and will accommodate riders of all skill levels. The initial build will be a core of trails and will continue to be expanded year over year. Once your contribution is received, you will be sent a 501(c)(3) tax-compliant donation receipt for tax deduction purposes.
